Catalogue of Heller conventional industrial machinery for metal machining workshops: conventional centre lathes, universal milling machines, turret milling machines, pillar drills, grinding machines, slotting machines and hydraulic shears. Authorised distributors with in-house service and support and spare parts in stock in Spain.
Heller conventional industrial machinery has been present for decades in machine shops, industrial maintenance plants and vocational training schools throughout Spain. Its design follows a clear principle: stabilised cast iron beds, heat-treated precision spindles and ground guideways that hold working tolerances throughout the machine's service life, without relying on electronic compensation systems.
Heller Maquinaria conventional machines offer complete operational autonomy in short runs, one-off parts, prototypes and repair work, where the operator's direct intervention makes the difference between a correct part and a scrapped one.
The conventional centre lathe is the benchmark machine in any metal machining workshop. The Heller range includes medium-swing centre lathes for general workshop use, large TPG series centre lathes for workpieces up to 2,000 mm in diameter, and TGPB series large spindle bore lathes with a 320 or 360 mm spindle for turning shafts with flanges, thick pipe and large-section bars.
All models feature a helical-gear speed gearbox, longitudinal carriage and cross slide with power feeds, fixed and travelling steady rests, and a precision tailstock. The stress-relieved nodular cast iron bed ensures dimensional stability even in long machining runs and aggressive roughing passes.
Heller universal milling machines work on the three main axes with a head that swivels in two planes, making them the usual machine for milling flat surfaces, complex profiles, slots, keyways, racks, and drilling and boring operations on workpieces of medium and high complexity. The combination of a long-travel longitudinal table with a universal dividing head extends the possibilities to workpieces of circular and helical geometry.
Heller turret milling machines stand out for their compactness and versatility in the workshop. The swivelling vertical turret head, the cross table with generous travels and the spindle with ISO30 or ISO40 taper make them the usual choice for workshops producing short runs, making tooling and machining workpieces of varied geometry where the operator needs to change setup quickly.
The Heller pillar drill range runs from bench-top models for light work to industrial square-column drills for diameters of up to 70 mm in steel. The round-column models (M25R, M30R) are aimed at general-purpose workshops; the square-column models (B32IE, B35A, B40E, B70E) are designed for continuous industrial production with demanding requirements for spindle position accuracy.
The TF50 mill-drill adds the ability to carry out face milling on a cross table to its drilling capabilities, removing the need for a second machine for combined operations. The RD32/800 radial arm drill handles the machining of large workpieces without having to move them, with an 800 mm radial arm that positions the spindle at any working point.
Heller grinding machines are designed for high-precision surface finishing operations on hardened steel, cast iron and very hard materials. The range includes horizontal-spindle surface grinders for grinding flat and parallel surfaces, and cylindrical grinders for finishing shafts, bushes and workpieces of revolution to tolerances of hundredths of a millimetre. Their hydraulic feed system and the wheelhead with precision bearings guarantee Ra finishes below 0.4 µm in production conditions.
The slotting machine is a machine specialised in producing internal slots, blind keyways, polygonal profiles and shapes that cannot be reached with any other conventional machine. Heller slotting machines work with a reciprocating straight-line movement of the cutting tool over the fixed workpiece, which makes it possible to machine keyways in through and blind holes, T-slots and internal profiles in materials of any hardness. They are indispensable in die-making workshops, heavy machinery maintenance and gear reducer manufacturing when the milling machine cannot reach the internal geometry of the workpiece.
